This wagon was a prototype wagon designed by WP Willams & Assoc for National Rail in 1997. It was built by ANI Bradken at Braemar and is capable of carrying a slab steel load or two coil steel ‘butter boxes’.

 

Length: 14.6m                         Tare: 19t                                  Capacity: 73t                           Gross: 92t

 

Bogies: 70t CCSB.

 

Coding:

-                      As introduced, RKZY.

 

Colour Scheme:

-                      Only painted in NRC livery.

 

Period of Service: 1997 – 2004.

 

Operation: The wagon saw limited use until about 2004. It has since been in storage at Pt Kembla North yard.

 

Modelling:

Would have to be scratchbuilt.
