1 x UME flat and 4 louvred vans were converted into container wagons by Chullora Workshops on behalf of ‘Fielders Ltd’ between 1968 and 1974. The vans had their bodies cut off, container retaining brackets were fitted to the deck and container bracket underfloor storage boxes were provided also. Originally the container brackets were spaced to allow 5 LCL type caontainers to be loaded, later the brakets were removed and modified to eventually enable 2 x 20ft ISO type containers to be fitted.
