HPX Chipboard Wagon

Photo of a HPX required

3 wagons were converted from HMX flat wagons. They were converted to carry sheet materials retained by means of bulkheads. The ‘B’ end of the wagon has a fixed bulkhead whilst the ‘A’ end has an adjustable bulkhead. After loading the sheets against the fixed bulkhead, the other bulkhead was adjusted up tight to limit longitudinal movement of the sheets. Lashing rails along the side sills retained the load laterally.
